Maria Selene Clemente (Cagliari, 1991) is an independent journalist and photgrapher. In 2017, she graduated with distinction and mention for publication in International studies and MENA politics at the University of Turin (Italy).
Her professional experience includes six years working as a humanitarian aid worker in Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian Territory. In 2022, she studied photojournalism and documentary photography at Fondazione Studio Marangoni and co-founded the Clemente-Pardini duo.
From April to June 2024, she carried out part of her journalism traineeship at the weekly magazine Internazionale, where she worked as a photo editor assistant. Currently, she is a contributing writer for the newspaper column “Africa and Middle East” and a videojournalist contributor to the Associated Press (AP).
